Kaizer Chiefs Signs A New Defender
Following the 2024 transfer window, Kaizer Chiefs dismissed a number of defenders, and they are now searching for a successor.
Early in July 2024, Chiefs signed Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates who traveled to Turkey with the team for a preseason tour, but he had to return to South Africa for more medical examinations due to an injury he sustained in Turky.

Amakhosi shocked their followers earlier today when they signed Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs FC. Dortley was a member of the team that Coach Helman Mkhalele selected to represent Bafana Bafana in Gqeberha earlier this year at the 2024 Hollywoodsbets Cosafa Cup. On June 26, 2024, he was named man of the match against Mozambique and received a captain’s armband as well.
Rushwin’s signature was being chased by SuperSport United and Stellenbosch FC, but the Soweto Giants prevailed. The teenage defender and the other new signings will be made public as soon as Chiefs return to South Africa.
