Vilakazi Part Ways With Richards Bay

Richards Bay FC has abruptly parted ways with Vusumuzi Vilakazi, who recently signed a new contract with the club.

After participating in the PSL promotional playoffs in June 2024 and saving the Natal Rich Boys from relegation, Vilakazi signed a new contract; nonetheless, he departed with his team in good faith. This occurs after the team’s new sponsor, Mr. Thabiso Tenyane, the CEO of Phakwe Gas, hinted that the squad will want an experienced coach to strengthen their technical team. Vilakazi appears to have chosen to call it quits when things did not go well.

In an attempt to have Kanu replaced before the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership season begins on September 14, 2024, Richards Bay is close to hiring a new coach in his place. Lehlohonolo Seema, the former coach of Sekhukhune United FC, is reportedly on the list of coaches suggested to succeed Vilakazi.
